Getting started with article marketing is a good investment in your time and money, and in your business, too. Writing marketing articles will do two things for your marketing online:
- Your articles will work together to bring more and more targeted traffic.
- Each article keeps on working – which means the more articles – the better. Earlier articles don’t stop.
Here are some tips about using article marketing effectively:
1. Build Articles Around Particular Keywords
Whenever you write articles or Web content, you always want to have carefully selected your keywords first. Think about each one you use, and make sure that it is one that someone wanting your services or products will use.
2. Direct It Toward Your Audience
Forget about writing for a search engine. Write like you really want to pass on some valuable information to your readers. After all – it is the readers you want to visit your Web site, right? A simple rule about keywords is to use your main keyword in the opening and closing paragraphs – and once in most of them in between. This will give you a good level of keyword saturation that the search engines can recognize.
3. Give it a Dynamic Title
When it comes right down to it, a great article will not be seen unless the title makes it stand out from other articles on the same subject. Spend time to make it really good. This is one place where good is not good enough – it must be really good! Think about what would make you click on a particular article when there is a whole list of them.
If you can’t come up with a good title – wait until you can. It will be worth it. For help in the title department, go to a place like EzineArticles.com and see which articles are most viewed. Learn from those titles.
4. Edit your article thoroughly
You don’t want to sound like an uneducated idiot – so take the time to make it sound professional. If you need help – let someone else help you. Remember that your article writing is a reflection on you, and if the article uses bad English – it will also reflect on who visits your Web site – and who does not.
5. Create a good Bio Section
Your whole article should deal with whatever you are trying to get people to buy. Once you have satisfied their need for wanting the product even more, now is the time to get them to bite. Make your Bio section sound like clicking on your link should be the natural thing to do.
6. Tweak Your Article A Little More
Many people using article marketing are a little too quick to post them for Internet marketing purposes. They know the value of article marketing, but have no patience. You see, by waiting a little longer, and tweaking the article a little more – you can get more people to come. No one writes an article (or a book, or anything) that cannot be improved upon the first time.
You can make your article a little better and capable of drawing more people to your Web site, if you take more time with it. Let it sit for at least an hour and then come back to it. Read it honestly. If it does not make you want to click – chances are real good others will not do so, either.
7. Post It Around
Find article marketing distributors and put it on their Web site. Don’t forget to write a brief description or summary that will also make people want to click on it – for more viewers.
