You could promote your business very efficiently by reaching out to your audience through quality articles. Just because you do not have a marketing degree does not mean you can’t effectively market yourself.
Maintain an e-mail newsletter and get sign-ups on your website. An e-mail newsletter will allow you regular access to prospective customers in their e-mail inbox. They don’t even have to go to your website for you to reach them with a newsletter. Give them great information and finish with a link to your site; they’ll visit.
When writing an article, don’t overuse keywords. Incorporate them well into your article. Make sure they appear in the title, first paragraph and in the concluding paragraph. Don’t use them in the body of the article as this gets repetitive.
Do not worry about online plagiarism. When another website copies your written work, claim credit by advertising to the public, just how many websites use and trust your material. Consider linking your web page to the web pages that have taken your content. Claiming credit in this way will be much cheaper than hiring a lawyer for copyright litigation.
By adding pictures that are relevant to the article one can provide an eye-catching addition the article to increase its marketing potential. However one needs to be sure that the picture does not make up the content but simply supplement the existing article content so the information is still there.
It is important that you stick to the topic that was asked for. Many sites do not want to use an article that rants on and on about a totally different article. If you are unsure of what to write about a specific topic, you can always ask the requester for more information.
In article marketing, aside from good headlines that grip your audience, you need to have great titles. It’s these titles that alert the readers to both the subject of the article and why they should read it. Try keeping your titles catchy and memorable, just don’t go overboard with them.
Social media is a great way to market your articles. Just post a link to your article with a short summary and ask others to retweet it or share it with their friends. People will be interested to see what you have written.
If you use a blog to get your article marketing message out, make sure you keep your blog’s comments section free of spam. Reader comments can boost your blog’s effectiveness. But posters who use your comments section to advertise are not only co-opting your marketing efforts; their comments discourage legitimate readers from participating and destroy the sense of community that comments sections foster.
When you are developing your articles, make sure that you never copy and paste material from a different site. If you find a specific phrase or section that you like, paraphrase this to make it your own. Plagiarizing is looked down upon and will destroy your credibility and hurt your image.
With the basics under your belt, you now have the ability to use article marketing to your advantage. Figure out who your audience is and start using specific techniques to meet their needs.
